Sunday, October 1, 2006 – “Home Sweet Home”

This past week we kicked off our series “Hospitality: Whoever, Whenever, Whatever.” Exploring Romans 12, we discussed the ideas of sacrifice, love and devotion through the lens of hospitality. For us, the value of Hospitality is defined or rooted in the opening of our homes, thus the opening our lives to others. It is here where evangelism ‘happens’ as people are able to observe the Christian life first hand. Further, this becomes the space where by actually ministering mercy, generosity, prayer, etc. we embody the message of the gospel instead of merely arguing for it. Bottom line, as participants in theStory, may we make the space, both physically and spiritually for people to engage with the living God.
