Sunday, January 21, 2007 @ 11:11am – “Seven”
Read: John 2:1-22
Think: Our reading this week details the first occasion where Jesus tips people off as to who he really is. John, our narrator, sets this story up as the first in a succession of clues or signposts for the reader to decipher and sort out. He’s making us do half the work.
Pray: Father, the scriptures are littered with signposts that point to you. But what about today? Where are you leading? Where are you already at work? What are you saying? Help me to follow the trail that leads to you.
Live: “There is no event so commonplace but that God is present within it, always hidden, always leaving you room to recognize him or not…because in the last analysis all moments are key moments and life itself is grace.” (Frederick Beuchner)
