Sunday, February 18, 2007 @ 11:11am – “…the Bad Girl”

Read: John 4

Think: For some, ‘hope’ can be as elusive as a four leaf clover: it’s probably out there, somewhere, but I’ll never find it. Is there truly hope for the hopeless? And if there is, from where (or better yet who) will it come from?

God of mercy,
you know the secrets of all human hearts,
for you know who is just and you forgive the repentant sinner.
Hear my prayer in the midst of despair; give me patience and hope, so that under your protection and with you as my guide, peace and justice will take precedence on earth.
May your hope dissolve my fear and extend from me to those who are without hope.
Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
