Sunday, October 1 @ 11:30am – “Home Sweet Home”
A new series begins this Sunday entitled “Hospitality: Whoever, Whenever, Whatever.” We’ll be spending the next five weeks hanging out with this value. Thoughts or questions? Email Joe at [email protected]
Read: Romans 12
Think: Who’s cornered the market on true Hospitality: Martha Stewart or the Church? Real Hospitality puts us at risk and makes us vulnerable. Yet, by exposing our lives in this way it also brings our relationship with God into full view. So really, what is Hospitality? Is it the re-arranging of furniture, the posturing to impress and entertain? Or is it the re-arranging of our hearts, and the positioning of our lives that Jesus may be seen in the midst of it all?
Pray: Ask God for the opportunity to expose the regenerated life that He’s granted you.
Live: “This is our vocation: to convert the enemy into a guest and to create the free and fearless space where brotherhood and sisterhood can be formed and fully experienced.”

*As part of our gathering on October 15, we’ll be looking after a few housekeeping items: Our relationship to the Free Methodist Church of Canada; Budget 2006-2007; Future Plans and Dreams. Make sure you’re a part of things. We need to hear your voice!
*Did you miss the gathering this past Sunday? Read about it here.
*To support theStory financially, the offering tin will be on the piano as it was last week. If you’d like to write a cheque, make it out to “New Horizons Community Church” with “theStory” marked in the memo box. All giving is tax receitable and offering envelopes are provided. For those who are interested in direct debit, we need a minimum 15 people to set up the program. If you’re interested, talk to Joe.
